Lori Thiessen, BA (Lit-Pub)
Lori brings a bubbling enthusiasm, literary prowess, creative flair and unbridled curiosity to this project. She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, BC) and holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in English and a Minor in Publishing Studies. While book culture, both medieval and modern, have been a prominent area of interest, Lori takes an interdisciplinary approach to her many passions which also include history, psychology, sociology, and philosophy.
In 2006, Lori was honoured to be the site assistant in Vancouver for the international study of city-wide and nation-wide book clubs (Beyond the Book) and, when Italy beckoned in 2006, she parlayed her passions into a two-month sojourn to Italy where she studied art, architecture and medieval Italian literature. Currently, Lori is working on establishing her own business called Scriptorium Ink which provides support to business people through writing, research and full-service seminar support as well as working on writing projects of her own. For the Caffe Culture project and the Coffee Shop Office project, Lori is the lead blogger, web and book researcher/writer/developer, and overall ‘editor-in-chief’.
